Gumbo design, formerly operating as Red Shift Illustration Limited, is mainly the work of Bruce Madden. We are in the business of commerical contemporary artwork and design. Bruce has worked as an illustrator and graphic designer since graduating with a Bachelor degree in Graphic Design from the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in 1998. He has previously been involved in the development of projects covering a wide rage of artistic disciplines, and has experience in printed media, fine art, interactive multimedia design, website design, and animation, with focuses both in artistic direction and technical production. Bruce's work targets a range of demographics, from corporations to children, government organisations and schools. Bruce's experience as a freelance illustrator can be seen in other public forums such as mural design and scenic artwork, children's books, and the publishing industry, with his illustrations featuring regularly in several New Zealand magazines and commercial publications. Gumbo Design are experienced in producing all types of hand drawn and digital illustration, using techniques including acrylic inks, acrylic paint and oil paints, on illustration board and canvas, black ink with digital colouring, & line art. We will happily produce a wide variety of illustration in any media.
